KrémMester – Shopify Migration and New Online Store Development
KrémMester is a Hungarian cosmetics brand offering premium skincare products under multiple sub-brands such as UV Premium, UV Classic, Charlotte, and the soon-to-be-launched Sorelle line. The brand’s goal was to create a modern, fast, and secure e-commerce store that could serve both retail and professional customers.
Color and Code was responsible for planning and executing the full migration from WooCommerce to Shopify, including data transfer, a complete web design renewal, and the implementation of B2B features.
Objectives
The main objective of the project was to build an integrated Shopify-based web store that could simultaneously support KrémMester’s B2C and B2B sales processes, providing a robust, scalable foundation for future e-commerce growth. Key priorities included a refreshed online visual identity, simplified content management, and the preparation for ERP system integration named X-Profit, the brand’s in-use custom ERP system.
Solutions
Migration and Structure
The complete databases from WooCommerce and X-Profit; including products, customers, categories, blog posts, and legal pages, etc, were securely migrated to Shopify using Matrixify and custom API connections. All content was restructured to allow each sub-brand to have its own dedicated landing page within the unified KrémMester umbrella, enhancing both navigation and online advertising efficiency.
Design and UX
The user experience and visual design were refreshed to align with the brand’s existing identity. The new frontend is clean, mobile-optimized, and emphasizes the brand’s message of natural and conscious skincare through modern design elements.
The design direction was inspired by Color and Code’s previous Ilcsi Skincare USA project.
B2B Features
Dedicated registration and discount processes were developed for professional partners, such as beauticians, massage therapists, etc., and for brand resellers. B2B users automatically receive flat partner discounts and customized shipping options, while both B2C and B2B customers benefit from differentiated free-shipping thresholds. Tax number handling and segment-based permissions were implemented using native Shopify functionality combined with selected apps.
Integrations and Automations
The system integrates the most important Hungarian logistics providers such as Packeta (Foxpost), GLS, and Magyar Posta through the Delivery Gateway application. The marketing toolkit includes newsletter integration, a loyalty and referral system, and an affiliate partner program. To support the upcoming ERP integration, our team provided technical assistance to the X-Profit’s developer, delivering API documentation, webhook endpoints, and JSON data structure samples.
